Sky High

Sky High was formed in 1978 by Yngström as a quartet, but lost it´s organ player early on and remained a core trio, sometimes augmented with additional members for live or studio performances. In the beginning, the material was Swedish language with the music drawing on influences from the Sixties. Sky High originals were intermixed with coverversions of tunes by The Jimi Hendrix Experience, The Who and the Kinks. Says Yngström :"Back in the Sixties I played in bands doing covers but then in the early Seventies, I started drifting towards jazzy sounds, like Miles Davies and John Coltrane.

Back From BellyFest II........

Wow we had a great time! Hope to see more of you there next year for BF3......

I'd like to thank the Bellyheads who made the trip - Cyara and David, Mikey and Donna, and all the rest of the 150 people or so that showed up...

A big, big thanks to Mudman for hosting the event again this year - a most gracious man and we are very fortunate to have him support The Belly like he does; like to thank Lefty for taking care of the bands - that was super man...

The Stoney Curtis Band and The Monty Guitar Tyler Band of course made the whole day worthwhile and they jammed their asses off - sure they will be back again and again! These are some damn good people and musicians :)
