Tracy Conover

The daughter of a United Airlines pilot and a stay-at-home mother, Tracy was a fearless tomboy who loved fishing, swimming, skating on the lake where she grew up and riding the most unruly horses the neighboring farms could offer up. Though Miss Tracy started playing guitar at age 14, she was singing and writing songs from her earliest memories. Restless and rebellious in high school, she graduated early and moved to Lake Tahoe at 17 to attend Sierra Nevada College. She majored in music (earning a Bachelor’s degree) and took classes in ice-camping and wilderness survival.
